Hello there!
I thought it would be fun to pop in today with some Instagram love! I love sharing snippets from my art, life, books, and more on there. It’s visual, instant, and so much fun!
Like the time when I got my hands on the gorgeous Kuan Yin oracle deck – the artwork is scrumptious and the messages are deep and beautiful – I just had to share immediately!
And I’ve recently started posting behind the scenes shots of in-progress art journal or canvas pieces. All paintings go through ugly middle phases and stages of indecision, and I think it’s so important to share those. Because when all that we see are gorgeous finished paintings, we think there’s no way we can do anything like it! But sharing the journey and the apprehensions just shows that we are all in this together. Even the best artists out there have paintings they hate, and paintings where they don’t know what the hell to do next. But by persevering, they come up with something – always {almost}! You can see the final painting here –> Soulful Surrender
And then sometimes I post goofy photographs of my darling fur babies and their crazy antics!
Or quotes from books that I love.
Come over and say hello! I’m waiting for you with coffee and cookies 😉
I love posts that give us a sneak peek into someone else’s world. Instagram is that for me: a picture with a story. Can’t get more visual than that. And your fur babies are adorable! Oh and I love Lao Tzu. Love, love, love 🙂
Yes, you hit the hammer on the nail! Little peeks into other people’s world, their loves, the moments they capture and share. That’s what makes Instagram so interesting! And now I’m wondering – is that last bit a clue? 😉
Love this pic of Simba and Loki..they are both adorable. Love all the shares of your pics on insta too. Keep sharing snippets from your creative world. 🙂
Thank you Deepa. They are the apple of our eyes! 😉
First things first – I love that you share your Instagram world. It’s a nice way to bring stories from the visual world to the written world. Love the idea.
That art is gorgeous and I have seen the picture of your babies. Super cute. Let me know how the book goes, would love to read 🙂
Thanks Parul! I thought it would be a good idea to add some of those stories here too from time to time. 🙂
I’m so glad you enjoy the art…and I’ll definitely let you know how the book goes – I love what I’ve read so far!
Very interesting post, Shinjini. Getting a sneek peek into your world through your insta pics is another way of getting to know you better. I’d love to see that painting once it is completed. The little furry babies are simply too cute !!
Glad you enjoyed it! I love Instagram is for the glimpses it gives me into another person’s life. I’ve included a link to the finished painting in the post – it’s up on the blog already 😉
Your fur babies are sweet. I have the Wild Quan Yin deck and it is beautiful. Good luck with your new deck.
Thank you Suzy! I’ve seen pictures from that deck and the art is gorgeous! I love the interpretations and meditations she includes with her decks. Those are lovely! 🙂
I like your art-in-the-making pictures, MG, and also your fur babies! They do have that royal look about them! I share my art after I complete it; I can’t wait till I complete my work and see for myself how it has turned out!
And, I agree, Instagram is like a blessing in disguise for people like us who love sharing leaflets from the book of their life with the world!
Thanks Shilpa! I tend to take a long time to complete my pieces, and I like looking at the photos to see if anything looks off. So often I’ve thought a piece is done, only to realize that they eyes are squinty or the shading is slightly off! I love how you phrased that – leaflets from the book of life! 🙂
Would lobe to have a coffee and cookies with you. Looove the art you have chosen to present here.
Thank you so much Eli! xx
I’m in love with your Instagram feed. You know what it speaks to me of? Life and it’s beautiful shades. Thanks for the peek ?
Thank you so much Nabanita, you made my day! xx 🙂

Thanks tons Menaka! Feel free to holler if you need any help on Instagram. 🙂
How much I love the picture with the cats! I am following you 🙂
A big thank you from the cats 😉 And thanks for the follow!!
I loved the picture of your furry friends. Interesting names too. The artwork on the cards are have such mystical air to them. Good to see such visual treats on a blog. Instagram integrated with blogging is fun!
Thanks Vinodini! 🙂 It’s fun to have a bit of a crossover between the two, no?
lovely little peeks into your life.. Wish I could grab one of it… well eh.. for a while… just kidding .. But love your secret santa gift!!!
hehe! The Secret Santa gift really feels like the gift that keeps on giving – so much wisdom between those pages!
Wow! This is one interesting post with all the beautiful visuals from your lovely instagram wall collated together in such a brilliant manner. BTW did I read ugly (just above the canvas picture para) Because I don’t think so that it’s true at all. Like am really serious! An artistic piece holds its beauty throughout all phases of making and the artist like you can never make it ugly in any phase (not even in early or middle phase) 😀
Thanks so much Saumy! And I love what you said about an artistic piece holding its beauty throughout the creation process – so much of our judgement gets reflected on to the things we create and put out into the world, no?
I love your style of photography and the composition … The guardian of the books are so adorable 😀
Thanks so much Raj! I adore your travel photographs too.
