Monthly Tarot forecast for May 2017

April seemed to rush by in a bit of a haze. When I wasn’t thinking about work, I was focusing on the A to Z Challenge – creating videos (so fun and also so annoying), writing the few posts that I hadn’t managed to pre-schedule, blog hopping and finding interesting new blogs to follow – just writing it all out has me exhausted! But now that April is over, it’s time to say hello to May! Which means it’s time for…

Monthly Tarot forecast for May 2017

Remember, this is a general reading, and my intention with this one was: What do my blog readers need to know most in May.

This three card reading looks at our blessing, challenges and how we can make the most of the month ahead.

The Ace of Cups represents new relationships and new ways of being. For those of us who have done the A to Z Challenge, this could represent new blogs that you found and the new audience that you have gained. It’s time to nurture these relationships.

In other areas of life, this could indicate a new way of being – maybe you’ve gained a deeper sense of self. Not in an egoistical way, but in a nurturing way. A way where you stop being harsh with yourself and treat yourself with the love and kindness you deserve.

Relationships with others may be on the mend; new friendships could be forged. Emotionally and from a relationship standpoint, things are likely to be chugging along smoothly.

But The 8 of Pentacles cautions against complacency. It is important to take a break, to step back from your work and acknowledge all that you have accomplished. But don’t take it so easy that you find it hard to get going again, or that you take 2 steps back for every 1 step forward that you took.

It also cautions against procrastination. Are there projects or tasks that are on your to-do list that you have been ignoring? You may find it difficult to move ahead, but you gotta pick up the shovel and start working again!

So it’s no surprise that the Knight of Swords make an appearance again this month, urging us to kick procrastination to the curb and charge right ahead! Get strategic about things – if lists help, make tons of lists. If rewards are your jam, set up a rewards system to get your tasks done. But charge ahead, or you may just find that the month has slipped out of your fingers.

  1. Sunjhini, I can’t tell you how hard I was nodding along at all three cards! I loved the A to Z challenge, this being my third year. But it’s made me more wiser and more compassionate towards everyone as well 🙂

Did you know I’ve begun a personal challenge for May? It involves not speaking ill of anyone, even in private. It’s an awareness that came to me through March and April and I’ve decided to implement it this month. Day 3 and it’s going so well thus far.

Work has been hectic and we are all scheduled to take a break from mid-May to end-May so I am looking forward to that definitely.

Wishing you a wonderful May as well.

    • Yay! I’m so happy that it resonated for you, Shy!

The A to Z challenge does teach us a lot about life, too, doesn’t it? It taught me self-compassion this year…and acceptance.

I love your personal challenge! This is something I’ve tried to practice too. No speaking ill of others, no gossip, and no back biting. I do slip up sometimes, but I try to be mindful of the words that leave my mouth. I’d love to hear how it goes for you!

Enjoy your break, and happy May!

  2. This is so bang on Shinjini, thank you for the reading. Will keep them in mind and forge ahead this month.

    Cheerio!

    • Oh yay, Corinne! How easily we sometimes get derailed from focusing on our own goals! Hope you can double down on your goals and tick all of them off by the end of the month.

      Wish you a wonderful May!
