It’s good to see more people interested in the past. So little is discussed in schools. Maybe one good thing about the 2012 obbsession is some people might start studying the past again.
2012 has certainly led to increased interest in the Mayan civilization! History is fascinating, maybe not as a school subject (I remember some portions of school history that I loved, and others that left me cold), but certainly once you’re out of school and thinking about the larger questions of life.
