{D} My favorite things: DIY projects to try

I love DIY projects! I love looking at them, marveling and the creativity of the people who make these gorgeous treasures. I’ve been hoarding DIY ideas ever since I can remember. But this year, I want to actually sally forth and do them myself! Here are a few of my favorites

These darling teacup candles are a lovely way to save an old cup that you don’t want to use anymore.

For this beauty, all you need is an old jam jar, oil and a black and white photograph, and dried flowers if you wish. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Or, turn your used jam jars into this super cool votive holder. Just print your photo on vellum and mod podge it to the jar – it looks like the photos were printed in black and white! Then light your votive and you’ve got a beautiful decoration or gift for friends and family!

Then there’s this idea. I’m not so sure about the glitter or the gold, but just a row of painted glass jars would look awesome in the bathroom to hold your toothbrushes and the like.
