The great fun of driving down to a hill station, for me, is those long, winding roads, when you look down and see a river winking back at you from far below. The clear water, rocky outcrops, dancing waves at intervals…it’s a sight to refresh you no matter how tired you are!

I love rivers too. Probably because the water looks refreshing.
Water bodies, misty forests on either sides with sun beams playing hied and seek and of course, rain sometimes, cool breeze sometimes 🙂
Water has an calming effect.
The scenic locations, flowing river and anything which is a soothing sight refreshes me 🙂
Yes long winding roads, the soothing sound of approaching water body and the glimpse of flowing river now and them..nothing more soothing than that 🙂
I don’t know how “refreshing,” but I always like spotting where the road used to go, now an abandoned curve in the road, or a parallel smaller road.
