Tarot Forecast for 2018

Ah, how I love December! Taking the time to reflect on the year gone by, dreaming about the coming year, and looking at the energetics of what 2018 may hold. The year ahead reading offers a beautiful, in-depth, layered look at the yearly cycle.

Let’s dive into it, shall we?

Tarot Reading for 2018

Year ahead tarot reading 2018
Remember, this is a general reading, and my intention with this one was: What do my blog readers need to know most for the next year.

Looking at the cards, 2018 should be a relatively easier year for a lot of us. {Can I hear a collective sigh of relief?}

2017 appears to have been a challenging year, requiring you to dig deep into your reserves of strength and courage; and pushing you to maintain a semblance of control over everything that seemed to be happening in your life. It’s possible that you learnt some very significant life lessons. Perhaps something that you thought defined you may have fallen away, and you may have had to redefine yourself anew.

Take some time in this last week of December to let go of the old – forgive whoever or whatever needs to be forgiven; journal through any sticky emotions; and find some closure.

This will help you to stand stronger in 2018, grounded firmly in yourself and standing tall – brave and unafraid. There is a need to set strong boundaries, and to deeply embody last year’s lessons. Get super clear about who you are, what you believe, and what you want to create – and then take the steps that will get you there. 2018 can help you make significant strides in any area that you really focus – and work – on.

You may well find that you are bombarded with new ideas, renewed enthusiasm, and a strong drive to make things happen. Which makes it even more important to take some to get very clear on what you want to create in 2018. This would be a good time to look at all life areas – work, relationships, hobbies, spirituality, health, community – and figure out where you want to be in 12 months. This will give you some intentions and dreams to focus on. From there, brainstorm plans and ideas to get some clarity on how you can call in your dreams.

This step is important, because it will help you to be accountable, as the fallout of too many ideas and the enthusiasm to put them all in motion is lack of grounding and burn-out. Create some systems and strategies to follow through on a few key ideas without spreading yourself too thin. This is akin to learning how to create a balance between dreaming and achieving, between running after all the ideas and being strategic about where you put your energy.

Added to that is the very real possibility that old patterns of resistance or fears may arise to hold you back. But it is important to remember that old patterns and fears can be broken and overcome. Spending quiet time, journaling, meditation, and listening to your intuition are some of the practices that you can turn to during such times. Also remember to make time for friends who can support you when your belief in yourself wavers.

You will want to make sure that you are pencilling in regular meetings with friends. The energy of this year is very fast as you charge ahead in pursuit of your goals. But do make sure that you are building in some down time too. Self-care is going to be important to help you make the most of all that 2018 has to offer!
