Time – it’s the most precious resource we have. And it’s the one resource that a lot of us waste {me included}. We spend hours stuck on social media, scrolling through other people’s curated lives, participating in dramas that are not our own. Sometimes, we do it to escape our own thoughts….sometimes, we do it because we are afraid of owning our dreams…sometimes, we are just not aware of it, for it becomes an addiction.
So ask yourself this:
Am I afraid of claiming my dream? Afraid of the sting of failure? Afraid I’m not good enough to have this dream?
If you answer yes, then please believe me when I say that you are enough – good enough, loved enough, important enough…ENOUGH….you are enough, you can claim this dream, you can pursue it and make it yours.
Yes, you may fail – but that is a good thing! Failure teaches you what you did wrong, it shows you what to avoid. Use those lessons and go after your dream again, and you will succeed.
Remember, if you never fail, you’re probably not trying hard enough!
So today, let me leave you with these words that I wrote to a couple of months ago:
It’s time to nurture yourself, to honor the longing of your heart, to follow the path on which you are being called.
It’s time to wake up to your authenticity. To find your voice. To be who you are.
It’s time to stop being swayed by the easy route, to silence the voice in your head that makes you believe you’re inadequate.
It’s time to be true to yourself.
It’s time.
I am taking part in The Write Tribe Festival of Words #6
Before you go, do share any time management tips that you have!
That’s another thing I’ve to tell myself. That I am good enough for that dream I have. Self-doubt creeps in silently, and I don’t realize till it is too late. Thank you, Gypsy.
We all struggle with similar demons, Leo. I wrote this for myself too, in a way…so I can look back at it and remind myself that I am enough. 🙂
Ah yes time is our greatest resource. One tip I have for managing time is just do it NOW
LOL! You make it sound so simple, which it is. But I think we complicate it too much in our own head!
Time is indeed a priceless resource and valuing oneself even more important.
Glad you agree! Thanks for stopping by, Akshata!
Beautiful thoughts Jini. This need for self-love is such a simple matter, yet why do we find it so hard to do it? Yes, it is TIME we woke up to this reality.
It is strange, isn’t it, how hard we find it? And how complicated we make it? But it is super important!
Such a thoughtful post. It is precious.
Thanks! Glad you agree. 🙂
Over the years, I’ve come to realize that when I love myself, I don’t doubt other people’s love for me. But, if I don’t, then I don’t believe that others will, either.
Awww….come here you! Big hugs. Don’t ever fall out of love with yourself!!
Couldn’t agree more, it has to be time for me too! Takes a lifetime to figure out how to make the most of it.
True! The key, I think, is to keep trying, keep changing, keep at it! 🙂
True, the clock is ticking, the hours are going by and we end up wasting a lot of it. Time is indeed the most precious resource and we certainly need to use it well.
Yes, it’s amazing how much time we end up wasting! I know I do – mindlessly scrolling through social media is my biggest time leak!
What a moral boost! Paused at every point, only to realise that I should baak in the glory of being me, a unique and only! Thanks for a booster!

Oh I love that poem Shinjini. Soul stirring indeed. Time indeed is our best friend and we need to value it always.

Thank you, Natasha! Glad you enjoyed the poem. 🙂
Yes, it’s time to find ourselves and move on.
Hear, hear! 🙂
I have a dream, but I have been putting it off like there’s lots of tomorrows. I don’t know if i can ever overcome it. Nevertheless, wasted time never comes back.
A post with a lot of positive vibes…We really need to believe ourselves and stop thinking about being inadequate..
