September 2019: Tarot spread for the full moon in Pisces

Tarot spread for the September 2019 full moon in Pisces

The September 2019 full moon falls in the sign of Pisces. The Pisces archetype is highly intuitive and very open to the flow of creative imagination. This is the sign of creative dreamers and mystics and visionaries, which makes this full moon an excellent time to flex your creative and intuitive muscles.

Spiritually, the Pisces archetype teaches the principle of unity, of recognising the divinity within you. One way to understand this principle is by looking at creation – the creator {God, Universe, Source, however you wish to name it} created this Earth, the rivers and seas, the trees, birds, insects, animals, man. Similarly, man has the ability to create – and to create consciously. It is this ability that points to the spiritual truth of Pisces, that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. It is by accepting responsibility for consciously creating that you connect most deeply with the creator. Needless to say, empathy and compassion are the cornerstones of the Pisces archetype.

The September 2019 full moon highlights our creativity and pleasure. Think back to the March Pisces new moon – the seeds planted then should be coming to fruition now. The Pisces full moon encourages us to step out of logical thinking and enter into a state of playful enquiry. This is the time to adopt creative thinking and to lean in to our feelings, rather than to be ruled purely by our rational mind, and to express ourselves creatively.

Astro-Tarot influences for the September full moon

To throw some more light on the September full moon astrology, let’s take a look at the astro-tarot influences of this lunation.

The Pisces full moon falls in decan 3, which is represented by the 10 of Cups. This is to be interpreted in conjunction with The Moon, which is associated with Pisces.

The 10 of Cups speaks to fulfilment, contentment and stability. Of gratitude for bountiful blessings, personal balance and inner happiness. The Moon rules our imagination, which can be both a wonderful and a terrible thing. The imagination is where we weave our beautiful dreams; the imagination is also fertile ground for our festering fears.

This, then, speaks to the need to clear the cobwebs in our mind. To see our blessings, to retreat for a while in our little bubble, where things may not be as bad as they seem. It’s also a call to re-examine some of our long-held limiting beliefs – like a lack of worthiness or a low self-esteem or a refusal to allow ourselves to shine.

Working with the moon

The full moon is a time of completion. The intentions that you set at the new moon are ready to be birthed into the world. The full moon illuminates the fruits of the work you’ve done towards achieving your new moon intention and to make any tweaks as necessary. This is a good time to release any negative emotions, habits, thoughts, beliefs and to look within and shift any blocks and old patterns that don’t serve you any more.

I tap into the energy of the full moon to call in and celebrate the sign’s qualities in myself; to release any related limiting beliefs; and to express gratitude for whatever is coming up.

  1. Although many do not believe in power of celestial objects in our lives, we see tides are influenced based on lunar cycles. Human physiology is also part of earthy system. I see it is irrational to neglect effect of sun, moon and stars on our system. Earlier the term lunatic used to be used for people whose behaviour used to be influenced by lunar portion. I would be interested to learn about what Tarot card reading predict for me. But I am not sure I can afford time and money.

    • Yes, I see all of this as an energy. I can feel a difference in my moods, and it often links ups with the moon and where it is in the sky and in the sign. I didn’t know the word lunatic came from the lunar influence. Interesting!

  2. I am definitely going to work on those questions and make a list of everything you mentioned. Can’t wait to read the one for virgos 🙂

  3. I am glad to know that September is a month of creativity. Since all of us bloggers have undertaken the challenge of #MyFriendAlexa, all that creativity will come handy!

  4. Just did the spread – got a beautiful message on resilience and moving forward. Thank you for your monthly spreads. Always enjoy doing them. Would love to know more on how you use the cards from psychology/analysis perspective 🙂

    • Depends on what you mean by accurate. If you mean if it can tell you your future, maybe not. It’s not meant to be used like that. If you mean it can help you gain clarity on a situation – then yes, it is.

  5. I’m a true blue Piscean and I was nodding all the way long. Thank you for this, Jini. I am taking a book right away to list down the things you mentioned. I really need to do this. <3
