Tarot reading for June 2018

And here we are, at the half way mark of the year. I don’t know about you, but 2018 seems to be flying by! Personally, I’m quite pleased with how this year is shaping up; fingers crossed that things continue smoothly on! I hope this year has been treating you kindly too! Without further ado, let’s get to June’s tarot reading!

Tarot reading for June 2018

Remember, this is a general Tarot reading for June, and my intention with this one was: What do my blog readers need to know this month.

Tarot reading for June 2018

We have the suit of cups guiding us again this month, along with Temperance, which has a lot of that cups energy about it too. It feels like we have made some progress since last month, but more so, I get the sense that we are being asked to really get mindful about where we are putting our energy and the direction in which we are steering our life. There’s also a pull between moving forward, looking at the past, and wanting to – or needing to – stay still and gain some clarity about our path.

At this, the half way mark of the year, we can often feel a sense of urgency – like the year is passing by and we need to rush ahead and do all the things! But the Knight of Cups, though he is directing his horse {which could represent our actions or will} forward, is still looking over his shoulder at something that’s behind him. What could it be: some things left undone, a path unexplored, or emotional baggage that he hasn’t been able to let go of?

Temperance, meanwhile, is standing firmly in the current of her emotions. She’s using her cups to find her balance – taking the time and doing the work to process her emotions and experiences before she moves ahead. Temperance is often a passive card, because it indicates a period of finding a balance and integrating everything that has happened on the journey so far.

The juxtaposition of these two cards has a yin and yang, masculine and feminine, outward and inward energy about it. So while you may, on one hand, feel a sense of urgency to move towards your goals, you would do well to remember that there is no real need to rush. This month, take some time to pause, reflect and regroup, and then draw up a plan of action and move boldly ahead!

  1. Even though this is a general reading yet I feel it is a customised reading for me when you wrote “get mindful about where we are putting our energy and the direction in which we are steering our life” And this particular para is sooo true for me “we can often feel a sense of urgency – like the year is passing by and we need to rush ahead and do all the things! But the Knight of Cups, though he is directing his horse {which could represent our actions or will} forward, is still looking over his shoulder at something that’s behind him. What could it be: some things left undone, a path unexplored, or emotional baggage that he hasn’t been able to let go of?”
Thanks Shinjini for this lovely post. Will keep coming back.

  2. I have been getting restless that the year is at its half way mark, and I still have so much to do. It is like a baggage that i carry with me. I am yet to get that feeling that I need to calm down and need not rush towards my goals. Hoping June would help me with the regards.

    • I hope so too! Just take a little time to put pen to paper and plan out what you want to achieve over the year, and then the steps it would take to get there. You can do it!

  3. I love this. It occurs to me that yin-yang balance is more pervasive even – the woman standing still is the one taking more decisive action, while the man on the horse has interrupted his forward momentum to take a glance back! Such a great combo. Thanks for this glimpse into life right now. xoxo Jennifer ❤️

  4. This is what I needed, Shinjini. With half a year gone by, I have been stressing about the goals I’d made for the year and wanting to rush things. I have also been scattered, unable to find a clear direction. This post had all the answers, and all the much needed calamity to put things into perspective.

  5. I could totally relate with this. Often I’m in a rush thinking about the time that seems to be flying past me. But like you said it is not always necessary to rush. Loved this!

    • It isn’t – and the more I work with time as cyclical, the more I realise that the seasons come around again. And sometimes, things that didn’t work out initially, work out much better in a later cycle.

  6. I find tarot readings so interesting. I wish I were more adept at it. One of my characters in one of my stories is a Tarot reader and I’m trying to learn it so I can make her more authentic. I might have to pick your brain sometime. 😉

  7. Hey Shinjini, it is always positive to read your future predictions. I can relate to a lot this written here. Like, I feel I am on the right path and working hard on my blog, making a mark for myself in the blogosphere. But sometimes I feel I am missing some paths in between and should be careful to look around if I missed

    • So glad you can relate! Blogging can be tricky sometimes, I agree. I find it best to evaluate my own goals and focus on my own efforts, rather than looking at what everyone else is doing. There are so many things out there that you can constantly feel like you’re missing out, and that’s not a good place to be, at least for me!

  8. These cards are exactly where I am. Looking forward to a book launch. Pulling an old story from the archives and reviving it. Editing another story. Outlining a series. I have a foot each in the past and future and am constantly balancing.
Thanks for the verification that this is normal!

  9. I really relate to this reading, I have been feeling a bit like the year is flying by so quickly and I haven’t done what I set out to do. Time to slow down, reflect. Thank you

    • I’m so glad this reading resonated with you, Masha! Taking some time to slow down and reflect does help a lot. You may also find that some things that you thought were important at the start of the year, may no longer be as important. So it’s always a good idea to take some time to reprioritize too!

  10. I needed to read this today! I’m three subjects away from finishing my degree and applying for grad school, only to hear some alarming news about the accreditation of my program. I freaked out for a bit – thinking of all those sleepless nights studying, the days taking my nursing newborn to classes with me, working myself into exhaustion and illness… was it all for nothing? And then suddenly a sense of calm has washed over me. Whatever will be will be… and it’s okay for me to sit and take stock of my achievements and thoughtfully consider my path before making any decisions. I know this is all general but I feel as though I’ve been talked down from a ledge! xx

    • I am so happy and grateful that these words, this reading, helped you so profoundly. The reading is general, true, but it taps into the general collective energy and reaches whom it needs to reach as well. I’m grateful that spirit led you here and offered you the support you needed. xx
