Plus some journaling questions, an astro-tarot forecast and an exploration of the the Sabian symbol for the August 2022 full moon in Aquarius.

The August 2022 full moon falls in the sign of Aquarius. The independent, free-thinking Aquarius archetype encourages us to examine our inner wild self and celebrate everything that makes us unique. It is the archetype of the reformer, the idealist who strives for tolerance, unity, and a better and brighter society. And despite these rather lofty ideals, the Aquarius archetype isn’t afraid to get in there and get its hands dirty.
Spiritually, the Aquarius archetype teaches us how to be true to our own voice, to listen to and follow the calling of our own heart and soul. By learning how to tune in rather than out, by being true to the things that make us unique, we undertake the journey to individuation.
The August 2022 full moon also highlights the rituals and routines that support our self-care and wellness efforts. If you’ve been meaning to start a new fitness routine but haven’t gotten around to it yet, this moon cycle is the perfect time to start. It’s also a good time to take a look at your self-care routines. How well are looking after yourself – body, mind, and soul?
Astro-Tarot influences for the August 2022 full moon
To throw some more light on the August full moon astrology, let’s take a look at the astro-tarot influences of this lunation. The Aquarius full moon falls in decan 2, which is represented by the Six of Swords. This is to be interpreted in conjunction with The Star, which is associated with Aquarius.

The Daily Pause Oracle Deck
I designed this beautiful, 40-card oracle deck to bring in some stillness, to give us a word or an idea to reflect on as we go about our day.
Supported by the four elements – earth, air, fire, water – and a carefully thought-out structure that connects the cards, The Daily Pause oracle will help you to listen to and trust your own inner knowing.
There’s no learning curve involved with using this deck. Just get quiet, shuffle the cards, pull one out, and reflect on the word you’re presented with.
This full moon illuminates all the places that are ready to be healed. I’m drawn to the image of the big, bright star shining atop the figure on The Star, as she pours water from the jugs she holds in her hands. The pool at her feet merge with the tributaries of water, bringing to mind the way the light flows down into our body from the seventh chakra, which is our connection to the divine {as you understand it}. It is through this chakra that we draw on our higher self or the Universal energy or the divine for healing.
Where in your life do you need to bring some healing? Some solace? What do you need to release with the water? Where do you need to shine the light of hope?
Full moons also mark the peak of the cycle. Plans that we had put into motion on the new moon start to take shape or come into fruition. The way I see it, though, is on a continuum — the current moon cycle, of course, but I also like to flip back to the previous Aquarius new moon (which was in February this year) to see what has come into fruitionAnd when the moons fall in the same decan, as was the case with the February new moon, I pay extra attention to the themes that were — and are — in play.
Back in February, the Aquarius new moon invited us to set down the baggage that prevents us from moving forward with a particular goal or life area. How are you doing with the intention you set back in February? Has it borne fruit, or do you need to tend to or perhaps even release that particular intention?
The August 2022 full moon could also bring with it a sense of closure with a long-held dream or desire; or it could help us to finally take a decision on where we go next with a particular goal or, more broadly, illuminate where we want to focus our attention over the coming year(s). There are lots of little threads and pathways to contemplate with this full moon. Remember to breathe, to connect with your heart, and to ask for healing wherever you need it.

White doves symbolise peace and comfort, and I think this symbol serves as a good reminder that there are almost always ways to find peace in the chaos — a skill that I believe is becoming increasingly necessary to develop in the world that we currently live in.
The dove is also a symbol of the soul, and often represents inspiration and divine guidance. As such, this symbol reminds you to pay attention to the messages that come from your own inner guidance.
