And while the meaning may not alter significantly, most often what is needed is a subtle nuance of understanding, a small shift of perception that opens up a whole new world of possibilities.
So where I used to look at the 6 of Pentacles as a card of contradictions — having/not having; generosity/meanness; supporting/not being supported — wondering if I was the rich merchant giving out alms or the supplicant asking for help, I now look at it slightly differently. In this moment in time, in this situation, am I open to receiving or am I giving of myself and/or my resources? Am I asking for something or do I need to take back something? Am I receptive to this situation or have I shut myself down?
We all cycle between these states of giving, receiving, asking, and taking. We just need to ascertain where we are on this spectrum at this particular point in time.
Supporting us is some beautifully positive energy, as this Taurus new moon forms a conjunction with Jupiter, the planet of abundance and luck; Uranus, the planet of change; and Venus, the planet of love. A change in afoot, most likely for the better, and with the Moon forming a sextile with Saturn, there is an element of reclaiming your personal power and really stepping up to do the work.
This work can look like pulling up your socks and getting on with things. AND it can also look like allowing yourself to enjoy the sweetness that is currently swirling in your life.
