For the 100 Day Project 2025, my aim is to show up and work in my art journals for 100 days. I’m less concerned with creating 100 art journal spreads and more concerned with showing up to the painty table for a minimum of 15 minutes every day.
In years past, I’ve given myself the grace to take breaks. This year, I want to see if I can maintain a 100 day streak, though I won’t beat myself up if I do take a break. Life happens, and I am not interested in what I call the “girl-boss” version of creative practice.
These first few days have been a lot of fun, though! I worked in two of my hand made junk journals. On some days, I blew past my minimum of 15 minutes, on others, I got lost in the flow.
Observations of note
The self-imposed accountability to show up every day in the community space over on Studio Diaries motivated me on the days when I felt like blowing off art time in favor of another project. This is great in the context of the 100 day project, but not so great from a routine/habit building perspective.
It’s early days, though, so I’m hoping that showing up to the painty table will become second nature to me as we go along!

Omg that spread is absolutely gorgeous. And you got all that done in 10 days! I need this creativity kick. 😄
Thank you!!
Your art journal looks so wonderful, Shinjini. I can see the benefit of committing to something for some days to get in the habit of creating, or even as a distraction from other stuff. Keep sharing, Shinj.
Thank you, Vini! I’m not the best at committing to projects, but this year I really wanted to challenge my assumptions!
The colors you use and the emotion your art evokes is really magical!
Thank you so much, Soumya! You made my day! 🙂
