Tarot spread and astrology and tarot forecast for the December 2025 full moon in Gemini

The December 2025 full moon falls in the sign of Gemini. The Gemini archetype is very curious, an excellent communicator, and a disseminator of knowledge. It is the sign of the writer, of those who tend to think deeply, are highly perceptive, and prefer to learn from experience.

Spiritually, the Gemini archetype is about courageous conversation, be it with another person or with the Universe. Gemini adds its vibration to the advancement of culture and civilization through dialogue, be that via books or blogs or letters.

The December 2025 full moon also highlights our search for meaning and our desire to define or refine our life purpose. Which can sound very lofty – so instead of thinking about your “life purpose”, use this full moon to reflect on the things that you want to focus on in the coming months or year. And when you think of those things, try not to make it a beating-yourself-up goals list – make space for joy and beauty and delight.

Because life purpose? It usually is where you find the most joy…the thing that lights you up from within…where you lose track of time. Make sure that you’re making some space for that!

Astrology and tarot influences for the December 2025 full moon

To throw some more light on the December full moon astrology, let’s take a look at the astrology and tarot influences of this lunation. The Gemini full moon falls in decan 2, which is represented by the Nine of Swords. This is to be interpreted in conjunction with The Lovers, which is associated with Gemini.

The Daily Pause Oracle Deck

I designed this beautiful, 40-card oracle deck to bring in some stillness, to give us a word or an idea to reflect on as we go about our day.

Supported by the four elements – earth, air, fire, water – and a carefully thought-out structure that connects the cards, The Daily Pause oracle will help you to listen to and trust your own inner knowing.

There’s no learning curve involved with using this deck. Just get quiet, shuffle the cards, pull one out, and reflect on the word you’re presented with.

As we approach the end of the year, many of us start to dream into the future. The choices, the possibilities, they whisper to us, but along with that often comes a hint of fear, a bit of anxiety. It’s not surprising, though, as I think our daily anxieties are deeply tied with the things and people we love most.

We can often keep ourselves up at night, doomthinking about projects that we care about, the people who are closest to our heart. We often end up tying our values, purpose, and meaning to our most important projects, which is to be expected. No wonder then that we can imagine the worst not just about the outcome of those projects, but perhaps worse, about what our potential failure may say about us as a person.

The thing is, though, we cannot control every little thing or outcome. There are some things that are out of our control — external validation; how others think about us; the outcome of our actions, especially when they are dependent on someone or something else; how someone will perceive or value us. That last one, though, comes with one caveat: maintaining good boundaries. While we cannot control how someone perceives or values us, we can most certainly take ourselves out of toxic relationships and situations in which we are not valued.

Pluto, the planet of rebirth forms a beneficial trine with the Moon, supporting us as we confront our fears, refine what we value, and lean in to moving and showing up with confidence as we steer our course. This is further supported by visionary Neptune, which forms a quintile with the Moon.

This is an excellent time to release the mental clutter that keeps us stuck in unhelpful patterns and behaviors. Be honest with yourself as you look into the new year — consider what you feel called towards, and notice the little voices of doubt/fear/judgement that hold you back. Be gentle and curious about what those voices tell you, and see how you can reframe them, soothe them, or work with them.

Sometimes, our fears give us good data, and we can find ways to self-soothe even as we continue to move towards our dreams and desires.

On balance, this Gemini full moon asks us to move with alignment, not into perfection, but into what feels true, values-led, and resonant. The invitation here is to notice when fear has taken over the driver’s seat. When we can stop letting fear dictate the direction and choose from love, it becomes an act of self-trust.

The Flying Woman is the perfect Womanrune to accompany us during this lunation. This energetic and powerful rune points not just to change and transformation, but to your emergence into your full strength.

There’s a powerful shedding of old beliefs, of letting go to see what emerges, of becoming…and aren’t we constantly becoming…evolving…changing?

What needs to change? What needs to shift? What do you need to let go of? What do you need to lean into? Who do you want to become?

All good questions to contemplate as we prepare to step into a new year.

The Womanrunes were created by Shekhinah Mountainwater in 1987. There were originally no written interpretations available for these runes, other than the name and one word meanings, which offer tremendous scope for personal interpretation. The remastered original hand drawn Womanrunes can be purchased here. Molly Remer subsequently wrote Womanrunes: A Guide to Their Use and Interpretation, based on her own meditations and interpretations of the runes. Her book is available on Amazon and Etsy.
