Plus an astrology and tarot forecast and new moon ritual for the Gemini new moon.

The June 2026 new moon falls in the sign of Gemini. The Gemini archetype is very curious, an excellent communicator, and a disseminator of knowledge. It is the sign of the writer, of those who tend to think deeply, are highly perceptive, and prefer to learn from experience.
Spiritually, the Gemini archetype is about courageous conversation, be it with another person or with the Universe. Gemini adds its vibration to the advancement of culture and civilization through dialogue, be that via books or blogs or letters.
This new moon is a potent time to plant new seeds, nurture cherished relationships, and potentially enter into collaborations or partnerships.
It’s a new that is ripe for dream-weaving, for whispering your wishes into the ether, for laying the ground work for a cherished goal. It’s also a great time to plan something that excites you, be it a workshop, an art project, or a weekend trip.
If you’re looking for a promotion or pay raise at work, or even for a new job, this would be a good time to lay down the groundwork that would help you achieve the outcome you desire.

Some days you pull a tarot card and… nothing.
You stare at it, wondering what it’s trying to tell you — and whether you’re even asking the right questions.
If that’s you, Conversations with the Soul: 365 Tarot Journaling Prompts for Reflection and Renewal will change the way you read your cards.
It gives you a full year of thoughtful, creative prompts that help your readings feel richer, clearer, and more personal — one card, one question, one moment of insight at a time.
When I was learning how to read the tarot, one of my teachers referred to the 10 of Swords as the “drama queen” card. That description has stuck with me through the years. It doesn’t take 10 swords to defeat an opponent, after all — one well-placed sword is often enough.
That makes me think of the phrase ‘death by a thousand cuts’ and how often we inflict those thousand metaphorical cuts on ourselves, of all the ways that social media can sometimes make us question our enoughness. With everyone sharing their highlight reels and hot takes; with the editing out of the hot mess and the confusion; and the always put-together picture that we are fed in a constant, scrolling, never-ending loop, it’s easy to feel like we are the only ones flailing around in the dark, unable to make sense of our lives.
It’s enough to make us feel paralyzed, small, questioning our every decision. It’s easy to feel like we need to constantly re-invent ourselves, re-make our story, be in some way different — more together, more focused, more ambitious, more, more, more.
And those pesky fears and doubts, the thousand metaphorical cuts we inflict on ourselves, raise their heads the moment we dare of dream of something that truly, deeply matters to us. But maybe, The Lovers offers the medicine we most need in those moments. To look those fears in the eyes, address the ones that may be somewhat valid, find ways to offer ourselves support and comfort as we undertake the hard task of weaving our dreams into reality, and to turn, always, towards what we love.
Our fears never truly go away, but we can dim their voice. We can walk, always, towards the gleaming light of what beacons us, one step at a time.
If The Lovers asks us to choose what we are willing to devote ourselves to, the supporting astrology of this new moon suggests that those choices matter more than we may realize. The moon sextile Midheaven, which represents our higher aspirations and it relates to our long-term goals and sense of responsibility, supports this move towards what is ours. Towards the quiet excavation of our personal joy, of what truly matters to us. It enriches personal interactions, so make some time to go on a coffee date with a friend. It is also an excellent time to rest and recharge your batteries, especially if you’ve been stressed or harried in the past few weeks. And to add another weave to the tapestry we are weaving as we journey forth in this one wild and precious life.

Step 1: Name the thousand cuts
On the first paper, write down the thoughts, comparisons, fears, doubts, and borrowed expectations that have been taking up space in your mind. Just put them down on paper. Don’t stop to think about or analyze them.
Step 2: Name what is truly yours
On the second paper, answer this question:
What am I genuinely drawn towards right now?
This doesn’t — in fact shouldn’t — be something that would impress anyone, be prodctive for productivity’s sake, or be an idea that feels like its been borrowed from someone else.
It may take you some time to find the answer to this question; that’s ok. If it helps, try some meditation, or listen to some healing frequency or other calming music as you hold this question gently at the corners of your awareness.
Step 3: Choose a thread
On the third paper, write a single word or phrase that captures what you want to devote your attention to during this lunar cycle.
Step 4: Weave
Place the second paper beneath the third one, where you have your single word or phrase.
Fold the paper where you listed out your fears. Try to fold it away from yourself, to symbolically indicate that you’re choosing to dim their influence on your choices and actions.
If you can, place this folded paper beneath a grounding crystal such as a smoky quartz, which acts as a natural shield to neutralize negative emotions. Leave it under the crystal for at least a day, then discard the paper. Don’t forget to cleanse your crystal by running it under cool water or leaving it outside for a few hours under the sun or moon.
If you don’t have a smoky quartz or other crystal, you can bury the paper in your garden or on a flower pot on your windowsill.
