Tarot spread and astrology and tarot forecast for the June 2026 full moon in Capricorn

The June 2026 full moon falls in the sign of Capricorn. Symbolized by the mountain goat, which maintains perfect balance while it climbs over precarious rock ledges, the Capricorn archetype is one of disciplined and dogged determination towards the attainment of our worldly desires.

Spiritually, the Capricorn archetype teaches us about integrity and helps us to harness the ability to plan our work, and stick to it, no matter what. In these times of 24×7 consumption culture, it’s easy to give in to shiny object syndrome and forget about our goals and plans. Capricorn teaches us about the meaning of integrity: to align ourselves with our highest ideals and actualize our potential.

This full moon also highlights our sense of purpose and belonging. The ways in which we show up for ourselves and others. The things, great or small, that we accomplish for ourselves or within the wider world. It also highlights our partnerships — the people and ideas we collaborate and partner with, learn from, create with.

This Capricorn full moon is a good time to consider the various relationships, collaborators, colleagues, and mentors who are part of your life, to think about why you’re maintaining the relationships you’re in, and how these relationships can enhance your life, make them fuller, and make these relationships even better for everyone involved.

Astrology and tarot influences for the Capricorn full moon

To throw some more light on the June full moon astrology, let’s take a look at the astrology and tarot influences of this lunation. The Capricorn full moon falls in decan 1, which is represented by the Two of Pentacles. This is to be interpreted in conjunction with The Devil, which is associated with Capricorn.

I’m drawn, in this moment, to The Devil. To the siren song of his call. Does he offer an escape from our grim reality? A touch too much of hedonism? A promise of wealth and fame…of all the earthly pleasures? The Devil has a mesmerizing energy, an invitation to step with him into the darkness — to break free of the rules that chain you to the mundane, to dance in ecstasy, forgetting, for a minute, your woes. He won’t hold you there with him, but he will issue the invitation, again and again, and you may find that you have willingly bound yourself to his siren song.

In this way, The Devil can offer us both release and bondage, if we become too dependent on him, we risk chaining ourselves to addiction, to materialism, to hedonism…but if we are willing to heal, The Devil can also accompany us to into the darkness, to see where we might need to let in some light.

None of us fully escape the clutches of The Devil — be it a garden variety addiction to drink or binge watching Netflix, or addictions that are slightly more difficult to detect, like co-dependency or people pleasing.

But we can take some of our power back — AA meetings, therapy, consciously channeling our energy in better, more meaningful ways.

I don’t think we ever fully throw off the shackles. I believe that being enmeshed with The Devil is just part of being human. How deeply we are under The Devil’s influence, that we can, perhaps, control.

Like the 2 of Pentacles, juggling multiple responsibilities, we can find ourselves sometimes giving up a more “serious” addition (like alcohol), but becoming addicted to something relatively benign (like binge watching Netflix, or throwing ourselves into work).

The goal isn’t to be free of The Devil, but to become aware of his influence, and to do the work to walk ourselves back into the light, over and over again. And the astrology of this full moon in Capricorn supports supports this work.

The moon forms a challenging square to both Neptune and Saturn, creating a tension between illusions and reality. We are more likely to see our weaknesses, our illusions, our stuck places more clearly at this time. And once we see the chains that bind us, that hold us back, we can take more decisive, focused action to remove those chains. This may require work, it may take time, but the wheels can be put into motion at this time.

Action-oriented Mars is also active at this time, lending his fiery energy to our desire for change, as is Uranus, nudging us to find new perspectives, reclaim our truth, and find freedom within our existing constraints.

And therein lies the invitation of this Capricorn full moon: not to defeat The Devil, but to recognize him when he appears. To notice the chains we have willingly enmeshed ourselves in, the old stories that we have outgrown, and the habits that no longer serve us. And then, with patience, courage, and compassion, to begin the long, slow walk back to ourselves once more.
