Plus some journaling questions, an astro-tarot forecast and an exploration of the the Sabian symbol for the June 2022 new moon in Cancer.

The June 2022 new moon falls in the sign of Cancer. The Cancer archetype is emotional, intuitive, nurturing and healing. It also symbolizes “home” and all the things that home represents – not just our physical home, but also our emotions, energy, body, and the spiritual hearth of our souls.
Spiritually, the Cancer archetype is one of compassion, of recognizing that people, in general, act to the best of their abilities, limited by their education, upbringing and current awareness. The Cancer archetype knows that love and forgiveness, where possible, are the best way to respond to destructive behavior – along with firm boundaries, of course.
This new moon will be a good time to examine our shadows, especially if we tend to hide or dim our light. If you’re naturally outgoing and confident, this new moon can help you usher in new partnerships or collaborations, so keep an eye out for any opportunities that present themselves around this time.
Astro-Tarot forecast for the June 2022 new moon in Cancer
To throw some more light on the June new moon astrology, let’s take a look at the astro-tarot influences of this lunation. The Cancer full moon falls in decan 1, which is represented by the Two of Cups. This is to be interpreted in conjunction with The Chariot, which is associated with Cancer.

The Daily Pause Oracle Deck
I designed this beautiful, 40-card oracle deck to bring in some stillness, to give us a word or an idea to reflect on as we go about our day.
Supported by the four elements – earth, air, fire, water – and a carefully thought-out structure that connects the cards, The Daily Pause oracle will help you to listen to and trust your own inner knowing.
There’s no learning curve involved with using this deck. Just get quiet, shuffle the cards, pull one out, and reflect on the word you’re presented with.
The Two of Cups reminds me of love and union and holy partnerships. And while this can certainly be with a significant other, it can also signal the need for balance between the inner masculine and feminine energies within us.
The feminine represents the flow state — intuition, receptivity, cycles. The masculine represents the active state — strategy and logic, getting things done, following timelines. There’s value in both of these states. But we can often find ourselves blocked or out of balance with one of these energies.
That could show up in a number of ways. Maybe we find it easier to ideate, to tap into intuitive dream states, but difficult to actually bring those ideas to life. Or we may be so focused on slaying our to-do list that we have little to no time for rest, for imagining, for all that “woo-woo” stuff, which is how the overculture tends to view the feminine aspects of the psyche.
But stay stuck in one or the other, and you’ll find that you’re either unable to get things done or are so focused on getting them done that you end up repeatedly stressed and burnt out.
This Cancer new moon is a good opportunity to examine which of these parts of your psyche you tend to lean on most, which one may be blocked, and how you can bring the two into better balance so you can both dance with the flow and take decisive action when you need to.
This June 2022 new moon is also an excellent time to look at collaborating with peers at work. If opportunities present themselves and they feel like a good fit, try not to talk yourself out of it. Or set the ball in motion by reaching out to people in your circles and seeing how you can collaborate or partner together for projects — be they work related or more for fun (think artist dates or stitch circles or a book club or volunteering).

Ok, can we collectively pause for a moment here and just say awww. What an adorable image that is!!
ButAndAlso — symbolically, this image may not be all that adorable. Rabbits aren’t supposed to be dressed in clothes and they certainly aren’t meant to parade in a dignified manner. They’re at their best leaping around the carrot patch or jumping from one carrot patch to another. (Can you tell I loved Bugs Bunny as a kid?)
So what this symbol generally signifies is our attempt to be or do more than we can — to bite off more than we can chew. And while there’s nothing wrong with leaping out of our comfort zone, there is a point at which our leap is too huge, and that usually doesn’t end up too well.

Journaling questions for the new moon in Cancer
There are no journaling questions this time. Instead, I’d encourage you to contemplate how your feminine and masculine aspects show up. Which one do you tend to favour? Which aspect seems blocked? What actions can you take to express your blocked side? For example, if your feminine side feels blocked, try using oracles or tarot as a daily practice and be open to seeing what happens. If your masculine aspect feels blocked, why not take your ideas and break them down into actionable steps. Then put those on your calendar and commit to doing them. Experiment with the side you’re not so comfortable with and see how you can start to express that side of you a little bit more.
