Plus an astrology and tarot forecast, journal prompts, and Womanrunes reading for the Aries full moon.

The September 2026 full moon falls in the sign of Aries. The Aries archetype is known for its bold – often rash – action, for going where angels fear to tread. As the first sign of the zodiac, it represents the active core of our spiritual journey on earth, and teaches us to act in accordance with our ideals. The Aries archetype teaches us to be unafraid to march to our own drumbeat, to assert our willpower towards the attainment of our desires, and to embrace beginner’s mind and the innate trust and explosive power {conviction + action} that is needed to start something new.
Spiritually, the Aries archetype teaches us about action. And as most of us know, it’s easier to talk about the things we want to do than to put in the work and actually do the thing! Aries teaches us that courage is the key to unlocking the full potential of this spiritual principle. And that comes from connecting your head to your heart, focusing your will, and taking consistent action towards your dreams.
This full moon also highlights our standing in the world, and with it, our personal sphere of influence and power. It also lights up our role in society and the ways in which we contribute to the world. Some of us contribute boldly, through activism, teaching, sharing of wisdom and knowledge, others in gentle, smaller ways, among our families and communities. Both ways of being in the world are necessary and valid.
This full moon also asks us to take a closer look at our vocation, and to see if we are in right relationship with it. To ask ourselves what we want to focus on, to determine what role our vocation, which I see as somewhat different to a career, though a career can be a vocation, plays in our life.
Astrology and tarot influences for the September 2026 full moon
To throw some more light on the astrology of the full moon in Aries, let’s take a look at the astrology and tarot influences of this lunation. The full moon falls in decan 1, which is represented by the 2 of Wands. This is to be interpreted in conjunction with The Emperor, which is associated with Aries.

Some days you pull a tarot card and… nothing.
You stare at it, wondering what it’s trying to tell you — and whether you’re even asking the right questions.
If that’s you, Conversations with the Soul: 365 Tarot Journaling Prompts for Reflection and Renewal will change the way you read your cards.
It gives you a full year of thoughtful, creative prompts that help your readings feel richer, clearer, and more personal — one card, one question, one moment of insight at a time.
There’s a certain amount of tension around this full moon, with some really fiery energy along with the opportunity to harvest what we’ve sown.
If there are projects that are almost reaching the finish line, the energy around this full moon can give you the boost you need to bring them all the way across the line. This could also be a great time to release your projects into the world. This isn’t necessarily about business or sharing your project publicly if you don’t want to. It could be something as simple as a redecorating project, for example. You may have the ideas and elements that you need in place; all that may be needed is for you to put in the elbow grease to move things around and change your space. This Aries full moon is the perfect time to do that!
If there are projects that you’ve had on the backburner for a while, this full moon can help you revive them, provided you’re willing to put in some work to bring them to life. This would be a good time to do some brainstorming and get practical and strategic, mapping out the steps you need to take to give shape to your vision.
But be wary of grandiose, fantastical thinking. With Neptune, the planet of illusions and confusion, active under the Aries full moon, we may be looking at things through rose tinted glasses. While it’s ok to be overly optimistic sometimes, it can be patently unhelpful when we are trying to make decisions, be strategic, and plan out — or complete — longer term goals or projects.
Though Neptune can tip you over into building castles in the air, Saturn, which is conjunct the moon, can ground you into reality, asking your to focus on what you can actually build. With Mars also active during this Aries full moon, you’re likely to be itching to put your plans into immediate action. This is excellent energy to tap into, but only once you’ve taken a moment to sense check your plans.

If you’re feeling fuzzy or scattered, take some time to brain dump or journal to wipe the cobwebs away. Once you have some clarity, start teasing things out and making a concrete plan for what you want to work towards and how you’re going to work towards it.
The Womanrunes were created by Shekhinah Mountainwater in 1987. There were originally no written interpretations available for these runes, other than the name and one word meanings, which offer tremendous scope for personal interpretation. The remastered original hand drawn Womanrunes can be purchased here. Molly Remer subsequently wrote Womanrunes: A Guide to Their Use and Interpretation, based on her own meditations and interpretations of the runes. Her book is available on Amazon and Etsy.

Journaling questions for the full moon in Aries
Not a cardslinger? No problem. Here are some journaling questions for you instead.
- What have I been working towards that is now close to completion? What do I need to do to push it over the finish line?
- Which unfinished project or idea keeps returning to my attention? What steps can I take to move an idea from “someday” into reality?
- What fears arise around this project? Make a list — there are likely to be some that are irrational. Often, seeing them in writing can help you dismiss them or find ways to soothe yourself through them. Others may point to something that genuinely needs your attention. If there are some that can be actioned, make a plan for how you can address them.

Unlock deeper insights, one card and one question at a time.
You love your deck of tarot cards, but some days, you’re not sure what to ask.
Some mornings you pull a card and just… stare at it, not quite sure what it’s trying to tell you. You can’t quite figure out what the card means for you in the context of your day.
You start to wonder if the real issue isn’t with the cards, but with the questions you’re asking.
If so, this ebook is for you!
Conversations with the Soul: 365 Tarot Journaling Prompts for Reflection and Renewal gives you a year’s worth of thoughtful, creative questions to guide your tarot practice.

You’ll get instant access to:
- 12 themed monthly prompt sets — one page per month for easy printing (or screenshotting)

These prompts work with any tarot deck (and can be paired with oracle cards too) — and are perfect for you whether you’re a seasoned reader or just starting on your tarot journey.
This isn’t a workbook full of empty spaces to fill. It’s a thoughtfully designed, easy-to-use PDF you can print or keep on your tablet or phone.
The four-position spread is genuinely elegant — Fruit/Seeds/Weeds/Tending gives a full agricultural cycle in one reading, which is more than most full-moon spreads manage. Pairing it with journaling prompts rather than leaving the cards to sit alone is good practice; the reading only works if the querent does the tending part.
True! The tending part is important to move the reading from insights to action. Glad you enjoyed the spread and prompts!
